NATO looking to tackle Russian situation

Following the attack on Ukraine by Russia, intergovernmental military alliance entity NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) that comprises 27 European countries, 2 North American countries, and 1 Eurasian country has reportedly announced that it would soon meet to find ways to tackle the situation.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg strongly condemned Russia’s “reckless and unprovoked attack” on Ukraine and said NATO allies would meet to tackle the consequences of Moscow’s “aggressive actions”.

Ukraine says that attacks have been launched against against ten Ukrainian regions, primarily in the east and south of the country. Several planes have been hit at airports. “Information about shootings is coming in constantly,” a government agency said.

Meanwhile, peacekeeping global entity UN has appealed Russia to call off further attacks immediately.

Secretary general of UNAntonio Guterres said “under the present circumstances, I must change my appeal: President Putin the name of humanity bring your troops back to Russia. This conflict must stop now.
