PSG is well-known when it comes to the field education. The group has achieved many milestones since its inception in 1926 and today it added yet another feather to its hat when the PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research signed an MOU with Siemens India.
A Siemens Industrial Automation Laboratory using latest range of Programmable Logic Controllers was also inaugurated by Chief Guest Viswanth K, General Manager of Siemens Limited for Southern region.
Members present during the MOU signing were- Director, Dr. P. Radhakrishnan , Viswanth K, General Manager of Siemens Limited for Southern region, Principal Dr. P.V. Mohanram, Vice-Principal Dr. G. Chandramohan, HOD of Electrical and Engineering Department , Dr. C.L. Vasu and Mohammed Akmal, P. Vigneshwaran from Siemens Limited.
The MOU has been signed with a motto to collaborate between Siemens Limited and PSG institute of Technology and Applied Research in areas of Automation, Digitalization of Production and Industry 4.0, giving students of the institution an opportunity to receive hands-on training while they are in college making them competent enough in the outside world.
