Mass Entrepreneurship to play major role in attaining Vision $1 trillion for Tamil Nadu

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Tamil Nadu State Council has organised a session on ‘Vision $1 trillion for Tamil Nadu – Role of Mass Entrepreneurship towards attaining the vision.

The objective of this special session was to deliberate on vision given by Chief Minister Tamil Nadu – M K Stalin for the state to become a trillion-dollar economy in terms of gross state domestic product (GSDP) by 2030. It may sound ambitious task, but it is the right vision. For a state with rich natural resources, loaded intellectual capital, conducive climate for investment and social equality, the target is feasible.

The present GSDP levels according to 2020-2021 figures, is pegging around $300 billion. The session also aimed at presenting state government initiatives and policies; best corporate practices with newer entrepreneurship avenues to attain this ambitious vision.

Sivarajah Ramanathan, Member, FICCI Tamil Nadu State Council and CEO, Nativelead, G.S.K. Velu, Chairman, FICCI Tamil Nadu State Council and Chairman & Managing Director, Trivitron Group of companies,Selvarajan P, Addl. Director, Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII), Dept. of MSME, Govt of Tamil Nadu addressed the gathering.

Gursharan Cheema, Senior Vice President and Regional Head North & South, Amway India, during his special address said, as Tamil Nadu embarks on an ambitious vision of becoming a trillion-dollar economy by 2030, the role of mass entrepreneurship can be significant in accomplishing the goal.
