KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology’s (KPRIET) Civil Engineering Department organized – CIVISTRA 2021 – a National Level Symposium for Polytechnic Students recently.
The objective of this symposium was to guide the students to find career opportunities in their core area of study. More than 50 students from various colleges participated in this program.
M.Akila, Principal of the college shared the various developments that have taken place in Civil Engineering field, and also highlighted the job opportunities in the said area.
A press release from the college mentioned that a Workshop on ‘Rebar Detailing’ and ‘Life Path for Civil Engineers’ was conducted by Prof.R.Kavitha, of Civil Engineering Department and Vasudev, Trainer, KPR civil academy
Prof. Kavitha explained the techniques in Rebar-Detailing and how to implement them in the field. Vasudev educated the students about the opportunities for civil engineers in the public and private sector.
Events like tower building, spot photography, connection, treasure hunt, short film and gully cricket were also conducted for the students.
