The G-40 Rotary Clubs in Coimbatore region joined hands with the Commanding Officers of Army, Navy and Air Force stationed at Coimbatore to felicitate and honor 150 veterans of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, here at PSG IMSR Auditorium on Wednesday.
2021 marks the Golden Jubilee of India’s victory in the Indo Pak war, and on this momentous occasion, the Swarnim Vijay Varsh Torch which was on a pan-India tour arrived here at the event which was attended by Top Defence Personnel of the three defence services, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, Rtn. R.S.Maruti, Director – Zone 1, Rotary International District 3201 on behalf of District Governor.
The veterans were honored with garlands and gifts were presented to them. Rotarians of the G40 Clubs of Coimbatore jointly did the arrangements for the event.
