Japanese Government passed a bill on Wednesday to ensure that all the residents of the country get the Covid-19 vaccine once it is approved for pubic sale.

The House of Councillors of Japan unanimously passed a bill that revises the country’s vaccination law. This newly enacted law has provided the platform for every Japanese to get a free vaccine.

The govt has set aside a massive amount of 6.4 Billion US Dollars to purchase the vaccine doses that the country would require. This development comes two weeks after Japanese Prime Minister Yashihide Suga announced that all residents in Japan will get the vaccine by the first half of 2021.

While the population of Japan is 126 million, so far 2,109 people have succumbed to Covid-19 and the country is facing third wave of covid attack, which has made the country to find a definitive defense against the pandemic.

Japan has made a deal with US based pharmas – Pfizer Inc., and Moderna Inc. and with the Britain based pharma Astra Zeneca to get more than 150 million vaccine doses.

At this time it is sure whether other nationals who are in Japan will also get these vaccines.
