5th Graduation Day at PPG Institute of Technology

PPG Institute of Technology and PPG Business School, Sarvanampatti, Coimbatore celebrated its Fifth Graduation Day on its College premises. Shanthi Thangavelu, Correspondent, PPG Group of Educational Institutions made her presence in the Graduation Day ceremony. Dr.R.Prakasam, Principal, PPG Institute of Technology addressed the gathering with the annual report of the college. Dr.L.P Thangavelu, Founder Chairman, PPG Group of Educational Institutions delivered the welcome address and opened the Graduation day. He spoke about the achievement  of the people on the dias, who were born in an agrarian  family and succeeded in their lives. Having them as an example the students were encouraged to lead their life with an aim.

Prof. Dr. A. Ganapathi, Vice Chancellor, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore graciously delivered the Graduation Day address. In his address he encouraged the students quoting “Never stop dreaming and dream big and about things that were never present.” With the example of Wright Brothers – Wilber and Oliver, he insisted the students to run behind the wanting to win and always remain a proud alumnus of this great institution. T. Pitchandi, former Principal Commissioner, Government of Tamilnadu, Chennai delivered the special address. In his address he encouraged the students to develop their knowledge and he insisted to acquire the behavioral aspects. He insisted that the engineers are the main reason for the development of the technology in the country.  Mr. R. Balamurugan, Southern Regional Officer, AICTE, Chennai delivered the special address. He emphasized with an expansion for the word LIGHT – Be always a Learner, Innovator, Great Personality, Human being and Talented Technocrats, in a lucid manner. He spoke about updating the knowledge  in various fields.  He added that the students should identify their inert talents, be it different from their core and work upon it with zeal.  The convocation was awarded to 323 students from PPG Institute of Technology and 34 students from PPG Business School who passed out in the year 2016. Athira CA from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering holds the 45th rank in Anna University.
