CBI will investigate Sushant’s case – Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of India on Wednesday dismissed model turned actress Rhea Chakraborty’s plea to transfer the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘suicide case’ to Mumbai, and also ordered the Mumbai Police to surrender all the evidence collected so far related to Sushant’s case to the CBI.

The judge Hrishikesh Roy announced the verdict in a virtual hearing. The CBI will investigate the case here after. Sushant’s father K.K.Singh has  also filed a case with Patna Police in which he accused Rhea of abetting  his son’s suicide and also defrauding him crores of rupees.

After the verdict, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh said that once they get the order copy from SC, they will decide on further course of action.

Rhea’s team issued fresh statement, stating that Rhea will cooperate with the CBI investigation and Truth will always remain the same, no matter which agency investigates it.
