KMCH dedicates 100 Bedded Kovilpalayam Hospital for COVID-19 Treatment

Kovai Medical Center & Hospital (KMCH), one of the successful Corporate quaternary care hospitals in Southern India, has dedicated its another hospital at Kovilpalayam for treating Covid 19 patients.  This is in addition to the 128-bedded KMCH Medical College (Covid-19) Hospital dedicated at Kalapatti Road, for treating COVID-19 patients.

Complying to the Tamil Nadu Government’s request to provide further support, the 100-bedded KMCH Hospital in Kovilpalayam was dedicated on 19.7.2020 (Sunday).

This hospital has more individual rooms, general ward, sharing room and dedicated medical team. The hospital follows all the protocols laid down by the State,  Central Government and local administration. Dr.Nalla G Palaniswami, Chairman, KMCH said “KMCH has been proactively taking all the measures to help the Government and the Public in our fight against COVID-19. The extension of our support through KMCH-Kovilpalayam Hospital reinforces our commitment to Public and Government at this hard times.”

“We kept in mind the need of non Covid patients seeking medical treatment and consultations during this period, we made sure that the Main KMCH in Avinashi Road is kept away from the 128 bedded KMCH Medical College (Covid-19) Hospital in Kalapatti Road, has been kept exclusively for Non-Covid patients.”

“The entrance to the Main Hospital is through Avinashi Road while the KMCH Medical College (Covid-19) Hospital is located on Kalapatti Road.  The access to this KMCH Medical College (Covid-19) Hospital is made available only for suspected patients and those with fever. With the addition of KMCH-Kovilpalayam, we are ready to serve another 100 more needy patients.”

Apart from dedicating these hospitals, KMCH has also made a contribution of Rs.1 Crore and 10 lakhs to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund, provided relief materials to people of Saravanampatti and Gobi, amounting to Rs.10 lakhs, as a Covid-19 relief measures.
