FDP to enrich Printing Faculty’s Online Teaching skills

Due to the COVID-19 fiasco, educational institutions remain closed almost all-over the world. In order to keep the wheels of education run, online-teaching-learning mode is adopted everywhere. Video Lectures, Demonstration of Concepts and Real-time e-classroom teaching-learning activities are being done and followed everyday now.

Giving deeper thoughts to make the faculty in Printing Technology deliver their best in this new digital ecosystem to students, the Departments of Printing Technology in School of Engineering in Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science & Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore and PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune  have come togther to organize a 5-Day online Faculty Development Program on “Online tools and techniques for Printing and Packaging” from June 22 to 26 2020.

We learned through Dr.T.K.S Lakshmi Priya, HoD of Printing Tech Dept, Avinashilingam Institute that Professors from the Departments and people from the Printing Industry will share their knowledge about taking Printing Education online, the Pros and Cons in it, choosing the best study materials and the Way Forward.  This will really help the student-community in getting the best experience when they learn  digitally from their professors. The Virtual – Inauguration is on Monday (22.6.2020) at 10 a.m., and it will be done via Google Meet platform. The FDP has received a registration of 80 participants and 2 of them are from diffferent countries. Totally 10 webinars will take place, 2 per day. At the end, an e-certificate will be given to all the participants.
