To bridge the gap between farmers and technology, United Trade Fairs India (P) Ltd. Organized the 12th edition of the technology based Agricultural & Dairy exhibition, ‘United Agri Tech 2020 at Parimalam Mahal, Perundurai Main Raod, Sengodampalayam, Erode. The event is a three-day program that commenced on Jan 10th and concludes on Jan 12th.
Speaking about the exhibition the organizer said that the exhibition was aimed at exposing farmers to latest agricultural technology available in the market that could be put to good use by them. There are around 100 and above stalls were put up at the expo which displayed technological Cold rooms, farming equipment, including power tillers, banks, Solar, motors, pumps & pipes, drip irrigation systems, harvester machine, and weight less tillers. Non-technical items like natural fertilizers, minor millets, book on farming and nursery.Farmers should adopt the technologies that are available to increase production and tackle the changing climates. Machines like harvester that works in all type of land would be able to reduce man power.
They said more youngsters should come into the field and make use of the technology also said that farmers should also give importance to the value added productions of minor millets that help reduce diabetes by providing high fiber. Among the stall was one showcasing solar powered equipment such as pumps lights and motors. The government offers subsidies for solar powered equipment that can be effectively used for farming. Many farmers remain unaware of this and we hope to reach out to them. The expo would be open from 10 a.m to 7 p.m.
