Rotary Club of Kovaipudur joined VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science and Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation organized Waste Management & Segregation Awareness campaign on 2.10.2019.
Held in connection with the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and also to promote Swachh Bharat, 40 volunteers from NSS of VLB JCAS, 60 staff from Coimbatore Corporation and 22 Rotarians of the Club collaborated in sensitizing the people of Kovaipudur about segregation of wastes – Organic Waste, Dry Waste and Reject Waste.
The event began at morning 8.30 a.m. and lasted till 11.30 a.m. The organizers distributed pamphlets containing awareness messages about Waste Management & Segregation, to the public.
