1200 govt school children become artists via Volunteers of India

Volunteers of India (VOI) Charitable and Social Trust organized an Art workshop on Monochromatic Painting for six Corporation Schools located at Coimbatore.

The event was conducted on three days 14th, 16th and 19th of August 2019, and it was coordinated by NAC Fine Arts Academy and Coimbatore Public School. Around 1200 students participated in the event belonging to Corporation Middle School, Edayarpalayam; Kavundampalayam Government High school; Sanganur Corporation Middle School; Corporation Higher Secondary School, North Coimbatore; Corporation High School, PN Pudur and Corporation Middle School, Veerakeralam.

The aim of this event was to promote Art and culture and to educate kids on how one can paint beautiful landscapes using single color. The students showed a lot of interest and positive response completing the painting in given time in a disciplined manner and without wasting any material given to them.The success of the Art Workshop comes in by identifying 13 students from each school and taking up further events to enhance the talent of these enthusiastic kids and involving them in other drawing competitions.

This joint initiative was taken up VOI members -Deepthy Romesh, Vignesh Durai, Jayanthi Raj and coordinated by Farooq Shah, Founder,NAC Fine Arts Academy, Srinikesh and Deepa, Trustee, Coimbatore Public School and supported by volunteers Joyce and Banumathi.
