2019 is about meeting aspirations and dreams – PM Modi 

On the 73rd Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the people from the Red Fort and greeted them on the momentous day.In his address, PM conveyed about the monumental decisions such as revocation of Article 370, strengthening anti-terror laws, reforming medical education and legislation against triple talaq, taken by his government since its return to power for the welfare of the people.  

He stated that the government of India is focused on fulfilling the needs of the common man and is focused on improving the lives of rural India, farmers, tribals and the upliftment of the marginalized.  

 He added, “But time changes. If the 2014-19 period was about fulfilling people’s needs, then the time after 2019 (polls) is about meeting their aspirations and dreams. We have prepared a blueprint keeping in mind how India should be in the 21st century…and are taking steps towards it.”  He mentioned that his government has worked with the focus for everyone’s development and has earned everyone’s trust with its performance.  He invited the people to collaborate on contributing to the country’s welfare.
