Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) and Indian Texpreneurs Forum (ITF) had jointly organized the “National Textile Conclave – 2nd Edition” at The Vivanta, Race Course on 27th July 2019. This conclave mainly aimed at promoting 5S and Quality Circle principles among the Textile Industries and their employees.
The event was cordially inaugurated by Prabhu Damodaran, Convenor, ITF; DK. Srivatsava, Executive Director, QCFI and Dr. Mohanasundari, Chairperson, Coimbatore QCFI chapter. The special inaugural address was presented by Dr. N. S. Rajan, CEO, IDFC Foundation, who also delivered a lecture on the topic “Happiness is the key to Success”.
The conclave had 8 technical sessions wherein teams from various textile industries made presentations on topics like ‘Best HR Practices, Sustainable Production, Optimization techniques, Waste Minimization and cutting-edge textile technologies. There was also a panel discussion by the ITF Board members on ‘5S System and Quality Circle practices’.
A special motivational session explaining the “THE MUMBAI DUBBAWALAS” who are awarded the six sigma standard and also acknowledged all over the world as the ‘Error free manual operation systems carried out by normal manpower without the help of any digital technologies’ was also a part of the conclave.
