To promote eco-consciousness in their area, residents association of Marudham Nagar in Edayarpalayam, conducted an awareness event called “Grow Green, Make green” recently.
Marudham Nagar Residents Association joined hands with Nizhal Maiyam Team and planted tree saplings in the playground of Marudham Nagar and also in the important streets in their vicinity.
Pungai, Neem, Ashoka, and Indian native tree saplings were planted by the team and fenced properly. Children, Women and elders all participated in this event and contributed their efforts enthusiastically.
Residents from each house, apartments, participated in the initiative and planted the saplings and even lent their own names to the tree. The team has also planned to provide proper Water supply system for nourishing the saplings. Marudham Nagar Residents Association honored Nizhal Maiyam with a certificate.
