World’s First Transgender woman who won Miss Spain is competing in Ms. Universe 2018

We say we live in the age of accelerated progress, prosperity and opportunity. Here any man or a woman can achieve anything they dream of with the right talent. We have so many rags to riches stories around us. Men and women have led taken the road not taken and paved the way for others to follow.  Like them, for the first time, there is a transgender woman; Angela Ponce who has made the entire world to change their opinion on transgender by winning the Miss Spain 2018. She is the first trans-woman to ever win that coveted award. Angela defeated 20 + Spanish beauties to win the prestigious award. And now she is on the fast lane to compete in the Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok.

By winning the event, she has given hope to her community that no dream is too big and no dreamer is too small. Though she is going to compete with other famed beauties, Angela is already a winner. Recently in an interview she said that while chances were initially given to her to compete, out of the blue she would be asked to withdraw because of rule-clashes. People have shut the doors to the transgender community but with people like Angela, redefining the existing patterns of perception, the underdogs will never be undermined. Human rights are equal to everyone and Angela is going to one of the pioneers to deliver it to her people. Miss Universe 2018 begins on Dec 16th.
