Rotary Clubs of Coimbatore Region were actively engaged in providing relief materials to the flood-affected areas in Tuticorin, Tirunelveli & Tiruchanthur districts.
The team coordinated with their counterparts and based on their immediate requirement, sent four trucks of relief materials as two separate consignments.
Each of the consignments consists of 1250 kits and each kit contains 37 different items including clothes, provisions, and basic sanitary materials which will help them to sustain for about a fortnight. The cost of each kit is Rs 1800. The total value of the relief materials was Rs 45 Lakhs. This was flagged off by District governor Rtn TR Vijaykumar along with DGN Rtn Chella Ragavendran and District Director Rtn S Gokulraj.
