The 6th Edition of PSG Kathambari – a Carnatic Music Fest will be held for 4 days from 03.01.2020 to 06.01.2020 in the PSG IMS&R Auditorium. The fest is conducted to give the students of PSG Institutions a platform to bring their talent in music, singing and dance.
So far, the students of PSG Colleges have performed in Kadhambari but this year, the chance is given to students of PG Schools so that they can also exhibit their skills. This year Classical Dancer Karuna Sagari will perform at the inaugural and she will be bestowed with the prestigious ‘Yuva Kala Ratna’ Award.
On 04.01.2019, famed Veena player Rajhesh Vaidhya and group will perform traditional and cine songs. On the next day, Carnatic & Playback singer Nithyashri Mahadevan’s performance will be staged.
The finale will be rocked by the students of PSG Educational Institutions. It must be mentioned that PSG has extended its support as a patron of arts. A release from PSG said that in Kadhamabari The ‘up-and-coming’ and ‘best’ music artists in and around Coimbatore are given a chance to show their skill.
