Rotary Club of Coimbatore Metropolis alongwith TASK have opened up a new park named Walkers and Children’s Park. The main aim of setting up the park is to promote a Serene Kovai.The timings of the park are from 8 A.M. – 7 P.M. It has swings, playing area for shuttle and swings for children. The park was inaugurated by K. Vijay Karthikeyan IAS, Commissioner, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation.
The park was in a dilapidated condition and was renovated at a cost of INR 4 Lacs. It will be maintained by TASK. There are plans to write sayings by great people on the walls for children to read.
