Fuel price hike result of FM’s intellectual bankruptcy -Subramanian Swamy

Senior politician and BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy said on Tuesday that Finance Ministry intellectual bankruptcy is the cause for the upward trend of fuel prices in India.

Through his official Twitter handle, he wrote “The daily rise in Petrol Diesel and Kerosene prices is creating a situation of revolt in the country. It is the intellectual bankruptcy of the Finance Ministry to do this. It is also anti national . Financing Budget deficit by raising these prices is sheer incompetence.”

The ascending nature of the petrol and diesel prices in India is seen as a disruptor of day to day affairs of the common man. It has been months since petrol crossed Rs.100 per litre and on Tuesday Diesel too has crossed that mark. It is now 100.19 per litre.

This is the 13th increase in 15 days takes, and it does not seem to stop or get low anytime soon.
