Delight customers with New Experience

‘Starting in the year 2011, we have coordinated at the mall over 500+ events like campaigns to specific festival events to popularize footfall on a regular basis,’ says N.A.Sujatha, Marketing Head, Brookefields.

While speaking at the weekly deliberations of Coimbatore Management Association (CMA) on the topic ‘Mall Marketing an Over View’ she said that marketing is an activity that creates, communicates, delivers and exchange offers that has value for everyone like customers, clients and society.

‘As a societal initiative, we started Kovai Green League (KGL) to increase the green cover of the city where the members of the forum volunteered for workshops in schools letting nearly 1500 students to attend the workshop thus far,’ she says.

According to Sujatha, A Mall itself is a product which comprises hundreds of brands, which attract the customers. In order to delight every set of customer, you need to offer them new experience every time, she feels.

“When a customer steps into the mall, we strive to give them not only shopping experience but also entertainment with designed events and decors,” she said.

Our endeavor is to surprise the customers with an emotional connect because it is where all communities, regardless of age and status, gather to celebrate and we call that community melting point.

“As a social infrastructure, we want people to have happy memories whenever they visit our mall.  Rather, we also take part in goodwill measures like Green initiatives where we completely stopped giving out plastic bags,” Sujatha added.

“We conduct sessions on various topics like Wealth out of Waste, Importance of Native Trees, Bio-diversity of Western Ghats and also create renewable energy. We set an example by producing renewable energy to meet almost our entire power needs. Solar and wind energy have been the source of 95% of our power needs for the last two years,” said Sujatha proudly.

Brookefields has an organic composter which converts wet waste into compost which is donated to nursery.

“From the current year, we are trying to better the source segregation, increase compost and ensure lesser waste which goes to landfill. In order to conserve energy we are planning to convert all the lights to LED in the common area and also double the Solar Capacity from current 250 KW,” she noted.
