Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edapaddi K.Palaniswami visited Thoothukudi on Wednesday morning and laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs. 328.40 crore worth in the district.
He also inaugurated 16 completed projects worth Rs.22.37 crore at Thoothukudi and provided Rs. 16 crore worth of cancer treatment equipment to the Government Hospital in the district.
Prior to his visit to Thoothukudi, Kanimozhi who is the Member of Parliament representing the district raised a question via her Twitter handle whether the Chief Minister would give any orders for the plea made by the families of the victims of the ‘Sterlite Shooting’.
Kanimozhi pointed out that the victims’ families have been asking for provision of government jobs based on their qualification and asked if the CM would talk about that on his visit.
