PM Modi to address citizens on May 31

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on his official Twitter handle that he will address the citizens of India on May 31- the end of Lockdown 4.0 through his Maan Ki Baat radio program. Media reports stated that the PM has invited the citizens to give their opinions on topics they want him to touch upon.

He tweeted on Monday morning “ I look forward to your ideas and inputs for this month’s #MannKiBaat, which will take place on the 31st. You can: Record a message by dialing 1800-11-7800. Write on NaMo App or MyGov”

Interested people can give a missed call on toll free number 1922, follow the link received in SMS to directly give their suggestions to PM.

Maan Ki Baat which roughly translates to ‘Words from the Heart’ is an Indian radio program hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he addresses the Indian citizens about important topics through All India Radio, DD National and DD News.

The first show was broadcast on 3 October 2014. So far 64 episodes have been aired and the 65th episode will be broadcast on 31st May (Sunday). Already, suggestions from the public is pouring in the PM’s Twitter page and through the My Gov website.

India’s registered around 96,000+ COVID-19 cases, around 36,000+ people have recovered and 3029 people have died. To ensure the safety of people, the Nation has been in Lockdown mode since March 24. In consecutive lockdown-extensions, relaxations were given to industries and business operations.
