Prathishta Weaving & Knitting Co. P. Ltd, a MSME unit, which is recognised as an “Export House” by the Govt of India, donated 3000 free mask , 1st set of re-usable Non-medical face mask for the frontline warriors during the epidemic COVD-19 under their company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity to Asst. Commissioner of Police- Law & Order (East), Coimbatore City.
A press release stated that their non-medical face mask is made in a closely woven cotton percale fabric and will perform to a great extent as a good barrier against COVID-19 virus and is washable & re-usable.
Chandrasekar, Executive Director of the company mentioned that with the very few workers available they were able to make this and they are in the process of making 50,000 masks in next 2 weeks and distribute free to frontline workers and Govt. Departments working round the clock fighting the epidemic.
