Teen Flutist wins Covai Audience

Inbaayini Anbarasan, a young student from Coimbatore and the disciple of renowned flutist Tiruchy L. Saravanan performed the “Carnatic flute arangetram” which is a first of its kind in Coimbatore at Saradar Vallabhbhai Patel auditorium here on Sunday.

She collaborated with accomplished eminent musicians Nagai Sriram- Violin, Mannnargudi Easwaran (Mridangam), Vaikom R.Gopalakrishnan- Gbalam. Babaji Rajah Bhonsle, Senior Prince of Thanjavur was the Chief Guest and Kalaimamani Nagai R Muralidharan, was the guest of honour.

Inbaayini’s Carnatic music journey started at the age of 5 in Global Indian Cultural Centre, Singapore under the tutelage of Tiruchy L. Saravanan. Inba has completed her IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate) and will be soon pursuing her University education in the field of Music. She aspires to be a musicologist and is taking the first leap through this Arangetram.

Her performance in Coimbatore was well received by the audience who thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
