Children make mind-boggling art with social themes

Art Houz in Jenneys Residency is hosting a two-day art fest by Little Zebra Play School & NLA. The art works are done by students of Little Zebra and NLA who are between 2.5 to 7 years of age. They have made paintings of various techniques like Thin Brush Filling, Flat Brush Filling and masking etc.

The works are so neat and the themes are beyond their age but phenomenally done by the students with the assistance from their teachers. 114 children have each displayed a painting on Social Reformation ideas, Untouchability, Literacy (for female child), Save Girl Child, Save Water, Child Labour, Peace, Freedom and Joy.

Lakshmi, Teacher, Little Zebra said “ Art is a medium that can reach people of all ages and make them understand. The themes in which the students have painted are conveyed to them and they understand the world around them. When they came to know about what untouchability is and how child labour affects the fellow beings, they understand that they should not hurt anyone. They learn about the value of water, why it is important to educate girl child. Our director Anusha Adithya has envisioned that this awareness should be sowed in the minds of children”

The expo is available till 05.01.2020.  Give children a thumbs up for their creativity.
