The Department of B.Com (CS & IT) of VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science conducted a Workshop on “Goods & Service Tax and its Implications Using Tally” on 20-12-2019 in Lab-I of VLBJCAS.
The Resource Person V.Vijayalakshmy from C-Cube Technologies, Coimbatore in her address insisted on the recent implications on the Revised GST Laws and Updates of the rates of goods and services supplied in India.
She also illustrated the application of GST with the help of Tally. She further mentioned how tally helps in maintaining simple classification of accounts, general ledger, accounts receivables and payable, bank reconciliation etc.
She cited through an example, how to create a company and to enter the transactions in Tally. She explained the short cut keys and its functions and how the expenses are allocated. She insisted the students to gain knowledge in recent versions of Tally, which has good scope in future for their employment purpose.
