The Alumni of PSG CAS belonging to the 1991-1994 Batch are celebrating their 25th year Reunion on 10.8.2019 in the GRD Auditorium in the College premises.
In connection with that, a press meet was arranged in the Chamber Hall of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Coimbatore. V.Lakshminarayanasamy, President of ICCIC who is also the President of the Alumni Batch presided over the meet. Dr.D.Brindha, Principal, PSG CAS graced the occasion with her presence.
It was learned that this reunion would be a day to rekindle the memories and there’s much more in the cards. The silver jubilee witnessing batch has planned to kickoff the celebration with tree planting, pay homage to the departed souls and most of all honor their teachers or having guided them into the world of opportunities with their knowledge.
The alumni of the batch and its office bearers addressed the press. It was conveyed that a huge volume of the batch’s alumni are entrepreneurs and most of them are in Coimbatore. Through their industry, some of them provide internships; some of them are invited as resource persons to contribute their industry-knowledge to the budding PSG CAS students.
Talking about bridging the gap between industry-academia, D.Brindha said the PSG CAS has always taken up providing quality education to its students as a major objective and in that sense, since the inception till now, the progress on enhancing the curriculum has been an intrinsic activity of the college.
The Alumni mentioned that their batch has contributed Rs.4 lakhs for the benefit of the promising students from poor financial circumstances. It was told that Rs.I lakh will be donated to an alumnus who’s family member is in bad need of medical assistance due to severe kidney health issue.
The reunion flag was launched at the event. We further learned that in knowledge and financial sides, the Alumni of 1991-94 batch are regularly contributing.
