The inauguration of Coimbatore Institute of Technology’s Mechanical Engineering Association was held on 9th July 2019.
M.Karthikeyan, Faculty Advisor delivered the welcome address. K.Marimuthu, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering delivered the Presidential Address and felicitated the gathering.
The Chief Guest N.Mani, Managing Director, Messer Cutting System India Private Limited, Coimbatore inaugurated the Association and delivered the Inaugural address. Velliangiri, Faculty Advisor gave an overview on the association activities. M.Mohan Kumar, Secretary gave an outline on the plan of action for the upcoming academic year.
NPTEL certificates were distributed to students, non-teaching faculty and faculty members with outstanding performance. The teams that secured the first and second place in Project and Mini-project for the academic year 2018-19 were also awarded. The CIT Motor Sports and IWS-CIT were also inaugurated along with the Association.D. P. Sam Solomon proposed the Vote of Thanks.
