Coimbatore and Germany sign MoU to strengthen relations in Industry & Trade

German India Round Table (GIRT) has its headquarters in Berlin and has Chapters in 20 German cities & 3 Indian cities. Coimbatore boasts of one of the GIRT Chapters and it was founded by K.Ramasamy, Chairman, Roots Group of Companies.

GIRT Coimbatore and GIRT Thuringia signed a MoU to expand ties and relationships while facilitating Indo-German business ties in both countries. The event began with a welcome address by K.Ramasamy and Franziska Doell, Director, South Asia, LEG Thuringen/ State Development Corporation of Thuringia and Chapter Head, GIRT Thuringia.

The introductory address and overall purpose of the event was given by S.Chandrasekar, Director, Roots Group of Companies.

The Guest of Honor on the occasion was Wolfgang Tiefensee, Minister of Economic Affairs, Science and Digital Society of the Free State of Thuringia, Federal Republic of Germany.

The special address was delivered by Consul General H.E. Karin Stoll. The event also saw video presentations about Coimbatore and Thuringia. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by G.D.Rajkumar, Director, UMS Group of Companies.

The event saw presence of Notable Industrialists, Senior Executives of major  Corporates, Heads of Educational Institutions along with members of the GIRT Coimbatore.
