MSMEs extremely crucial for Country’s Growth

CII conducted a Vendor Development Programme for MSMEs in Coimbatore. The objective of the one day programme was to enhance the market linkages of micro and small enterprises through strong supplier networks.

M.Ramesh, Chairman, CII, Coimbatore addressed the gathering and welcomed all participants and Chief Guest namely, G.Kannan, GM, NSIC, R.Kannan, GM, DIC, Navneeth Sivakumar, Chairman, Confederation of Affirmative Action, Senthil Kumar, DICCI. The gathering had a number of PSEs and MSMEs participating in large numbers for this year’s vendor development programme.

M.Ramesh, Chairman, CII, Coimbatore said that MSMEs are extremely crucial for the country’s growth by way of their significant economic and social contribution. With around 63.4 million units throughout the geographical spread of the country, MSMEs contribute around 6.11% of the manufacturing GDP and 24.63% of the GDP from service activities as well as 33.4% of India’s manufacturing output.
