The students of Billabong High International School, a unit of Hindusthan Educational Institutions, participated in the Interschool Karate Competition, held at Adithya International School, Coimbatore, recently.
The children performed individual Katta- One on One in the Under-6 category and also took part in the Team Katta (group of three) common category. By delivering their best in the competition the children have rocked the event. S.Gokul, R.S. Akshaya of Grade 2 and K.A. Akshansh of Grade 1 won the Gold Medals, R.K. Aashritha and K. Keshav of Grade 1 and Maria Gabriel of Grade 2 won the Silver Medals, D.Sarvesh, B. Sanjay, Tanishaa Vakharia, D.M. Roshani of Grade 1 and Mithun Chakraborty of Grade 2 won the Bronze Medal.
The students Maria, Akshaya, and Aashritha participated as a team while Sarvesh, Mithun, and Gokul formed as another team and particpated in Team Katta event and won Bronze Medals.
Learning to defend oneself at a young age is a privilege. Billabong has offered this to their budding stars. The little champs on the other hand have taken in what was taught to them, exhibited their best and have brought laurels to their school.
