Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology’s Innovation and Startup Cell recently organized a 24-hour NGPiTECH Hackathon. The event received an enthusiastic response from over 150 students who actively participated in the hackathon.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Karthikeyan, Head of Department for AI&DS and Convener of the Innovation and Startup Cell. S.U. Prabha, the Principal of the institute, delivered the presidential address, highlighting the significance of innovation and startups in today’s world.
The event featured insightful sessions from esteemed guests, including Jamal Mohamed Zubair, an External Business Mentor, who shared valuable insights with the participants. Sakthivel, the Project Lead of STARTUP Tamilnadu, provided information about government startup schemes, encouraging participants with funding opportunities for Women-led startups, Green Tech, and Rural Impact up to fifteen lakhs.
Vignesh Kumar, CEO of Payirgal, motivated students to understand the importance of innovation and practical learning. Nethya Sri Subramanian, CEO & Co-Founder of Dream Careerist, emphasized the necessity of startup entrepreneurship to implement innovative ideas in the emerging society.
