Governor of Tamil Nadu interacts with TNAU students

The Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu, R.N. Ravi interacted with the students of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) recently at Anna Auditorium. Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU welcomed the Governor. He interacted with the students on the following key aspects of student and society development as a whole.

Skill development for entrepreneurship, student exchange policies, involvement of students while framing Government policies as exist abroad, Government’s initiatives on ensuring nutritional security, plans for retaining agri-graduates in the agriculture domain, education opportunities in India for developing country students, scaling of entrepreneurship among students, helping foreign students entering India for education, cultural enrichment in India, augmenting patents in India and its importance, renewable energy policies, Government’s initiatives towards nutritional security, promotion of life science research, involvement of students in Government’s programs, organic farming policies: outlets, earn while learn, marketing of agri-produces, promotion of millet consumption among the public, Government’s plans on multi-disciplinary approaches (Artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics etc.,) to augment production, protected cultivation – agri-partnership.

Governor interacted with the students for 50 minutes and suggested the students focus on skill development and enrich their knowledge to meet their goals. He also explained the Government’s policies to enhance patent numbers in India. He explained the opportunity to foreign students to study in India. He discussed a few points related to skill development to match the employment domains.
