Airtel Surpasses 2 Million 5G Users in Tamil Nadu

Bharti Airtel has crossed 2 million unique 5G users in Tamil Nadu, where it was the first to launch 5G in India. The service is now available in over 500 cities and towns, connecting railway stations, bus terminals, highways, and business hubs. Nationally, Airtel’s 5G Plus has surpassed 10 million users across 3,500 towns and villages. Airtel aims to expand coverage to all towns and key rural areas by September 2023. To enhance the experience, Airtel has introduced unlimited 5G data, removing data caps across plans. Customers can visit any of the 76 retail stores in Tamil Nadu to experience the ultrafast 5G Plus network firsthand. Airtel continues to lead in bringing advanced 5G technology to customers and expanding its reach across the country.

Commenting on the milestone, Tarun Virmani, CEO Tamil Nadu, Bharti Airtel, said “We are witnessing a rapid adoption of Airtel 5G Plus in Tamil Nadu. I am thrilled to share that we have surpassed 2 million customers on our ultrafast Airtel 5G network.  We will continue to advance our network, bridging every town and key rural area across the state, allowing many more customers to enjoy superfast access to high-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more.”
