PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech) celebrated its 8th Annual Day ‘DAKSHA: 2023’ at the PSG Convention Centre, marking another milestone in the institution’s journey. Dharani Karthikeyan, Vice-President of SAP Labs India, graced the event as the Chief Guest and delivered an insightful address.
Chandramohan, the Principal, presented the Annual Report for the academic year 2022-2023. The report highlighted outstanding accomplishments in research, academics, sports, and other extension activities. GoIn his presidential address, Gopalakrishnan ngratulated the students and faculty, emphasizing the importance of regular sports participation and utilizing the campus facilities for holistic development.
Dharani Karthikeyan delivered the address focusing on the opportunities in start-ups and the transformative power of technological advancements like Artificial Intelligence, Chat GPT, and Data Analytics. She emphasized the significance of customer-centricity in business and highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence over intelligence quotient. Dharani urged the students to be proactive, lifelong learners, and to cultivate qualities like trustworthiness, thoughtfulness, and gratitude.
The ceremony also included the presentation of awards. Hari Nandhan and Prema received the overall Best-Outgoing Student Awards in their respective categories. Department-wise best outgoing students, class toppers, faculty of the year, and supporting staff were also recognized and honoured.
Mohanram, the Secretary of PSG iTech, expressed gratitude and recapped the key highlights of the event before proposing the vote of thanks.
The successful organization of the event was credited to Manimegalai, Professor and Head of the Department of CSE, along with her dedicated team. The Annual Day served as a testament to the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and fostering a vibrant learning environment.
