Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin Gifts Rs 13.99 Lakh Racing Bicycle to Rising Cyclist Tabitha

Coimbatore’s Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin, recently gifted a racing bicycle worth Rs 13.99 lakh to 14-year-old cyclist Tabitha from Mettupalayam Government Higher Secondary School. Tabitha achieved remarkable success in national cycling competitions, winning a silver medal at the National Under-14 Cycling Competition (Track) in Guwahati, Assam, and a gold medal at the 27th National Junior (Women) Cycling Championship in Nashik, Maharashtra.

Despite her achievements, Tabitha lacked a proper training bicycle, which she requested from the Minister. In response, the state government generously presented her with an expensive bicycle in Chennai. The event was attended by notable officials, including Chief Secretary Adulya Mishra and Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority Member Secretary Meganathareddy. This gesture not only recognizes Tabitha’s talent but also provides her with the necessary equipment to further pursue her cycling career.
