PSGiTech holds 8th Annual Sports Day celebration

PSGiTech, Neelambur, Coimbatore recently held its 8th Sports Day celebration, with students, faculty members, staff, and parents attended the function. The event was led by Chandramohan, the principal of the college, along with Mohan Ram, the secretary, and Ar. Tamilvanan, the principal of PSG Architecture.

The Sports Secretary, Snehal Jain, kicked off the celebration with an introductory speech, followed by reports and achievements in sports from the Sports Joint Secretary, Kishore and Ananthi. The event was graced by a chief guest, Ajith Kumar, a Pro Kabaddi player, who hoisted the flag and released pigeons, symbolizing peace and harmony.

The chief guest then presented awards and prizes to the athletes who excelled in various sports, including kabaddi, volleyball, table tennis, chess, kho-kho, basketball, football, cricket, and throwball. He also recognized star players and the best outgoing players with trophies, shields, and mementos.

The boys’ team Yamuna, with a score of 251 points, and girls’ team Godhavari, with 150 points, were the winners of the in-house matches.

Sri Sivahari, the Sports Secretary, gave the vote of thanks, and the event was organized by Robinson, Physical Director, Eshwar, Assistant Physical Director, and Vaishnavi, Assistant Physical Directress. The celebration showcased the students’ sporting spirit and dedication to physical fitness.
