SPCA & Rotary Club launched ‘The Water Bowl Project’

The Coimbatore SPCA in association with the ‘Rotary Club of Coimbatore Industrial City’ and ‘Rotary Club of Coimbatore Smart City’ has launched a welfare initiative called the ‘Water Bowl Project’, where clean drinking water will be provided for stray animals and birds around the city during the coming months of summer where temperatures are expected spike resulting in scarcity of water.

The distribution, filling, cleaning and other maintenance works of the water bowls will be placed at various locations. That will be worked through Animal Welfare Organisations, Resident Welfare Organisations, Science Clubs of schools, Volunteers and students from all around the city.

The project was officially launched by Senior Advocate AKS. Rtn Sundaravadivelu on Tuesday in Coimbatore in the presence of Perumalsamy, Regional Joint Director – Animal Husbandry dept & Secretary of SPCA, Rtn Advocate Prabushankar, Rtn MD. Aparna Sunku, President of Rotary Club of Coimbatore Smart city& Vice President SPCA, Rtn CA. Kanagaraj, President of Rotary Club, Shobana Thangaraj, Project Chairman SPCA.
