TNAU bagged Water Sustainability Award 2022-23

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi is an independent, multi-dimensional organization and has initiated Water Sustainability Awards which aims to encourage the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on the water by way of reducing water footprint among various stakeholders through the adoption of the ‘water neutrality’ approach. The TERI-IWA-UNDP Water Sustainability Awards evaluates excellence in all kinds of new ideas, approaches, processes, products, services, technologies, and other types of innovations in the water sector which can tangibly address the SDGs.

TNAU bagged this award under Excellence in Water Use Efficiency in Agricultural Sector. On behalf of Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU, Raviraj, Dean (Agricultural Engineering) and Senthil, Dean (SPGS) received the award from the Chief Guest

Kiran Bedi, Founder and Mentor – Navjyoti Foundation, Bharat Lal, Director General, National Centre for Good Governance and Former Mission Director, and Debashree Mukherjee, Special Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti and Syamal Kumar Sarkar, Distinguished Fellow and Senior Director, TERI during the award conferment ceremony held at TERI, New Delhi on the World Water Day 2023.
