The alumni association of the Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore has its chapters in India in Chennai and Bengaluru and its overseas chapters in USA and Europe. The third overseas chapter of the alumni association was inaugurated in Singapore on Saturday at Clarke Quay, Singapore. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust inaugurated the chapter and felicitated all the alumni. He briefed on the growth of the institutions under SNR Sons Charitable Trust and the contribution of the alumni. Alamelu, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College and Patron of the Alumni Association addressed the event. The office bearers of the Singapore chapter of the alumni association were installed during the ceremony.
Padmashree of the 2006 batch assumed office as the president, supported by alumni from different batches. It was also attended by Veena Ramesh, President, Alumni Association, Parent Chapter, Senthil Kannan, Secretary, Shanthini, past president and other senior faculties. A huge number of alumni from Singapore and Malaysia attended the function.
