The Grand Visit of the District Governor to Rotary Satellite Coimbatore

Rotary Club of Coimbatore’s Satellite celebrated their 33rd Governors visit on 7th Feb 2023. Satellite started their celebration with the inauguration of the project “Relaunch by Satellite” at Government Higher Secondary School Paneermadai.
This initiative by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore revamps and does renovation of needy buildings with quality civil works that give a good facelift to the building.


The first project, “Relaunch by Satellite” was inaugurated in the presence of Rtn. MD. Raj Mohan Nair, District Governor 3201, Ann. Meera Nair, Rtn. MD. Mylsamy, District Director, Rtn. Arun Arumugam, Assistant Governor, Rtn. Dr. Siva Prakash – GGR, Rtn. Suresh Babu, President, Ann. Priya, Project Chairman; and Rtn. Bharani Kumar, Secretary.


District Governor Rtn. MD. Raj Mohan Nair, visited the other projects by the Rotary satellite in Government Hospital, Coimbatore. The contribution by the Rotary Satellite club is dated from 1995 and they still continue.
Each year, Rotary Satellite contributes to developing the government hospital with various projects. The beneficiaries were recorded as 8000 + only last year and the total beneficiaries will cross 1 lakh and above to date.
The projects by rotary satellite in the Government hospital Coimbatore are
1. Paediatric Care Building.
2. Ventilators
3. Paediatric Intensive Care Unit
4. Paediatric High Dependency Ward
5. Out Patient ward
6. Paediatric Resuscitation & Emergency Medicine Unit.
In the evening, they had a grand public meeting at the Hotel Grand Regent.
The Governor was the chief guest. Rotary District officials, Sister Club Rotarians, family members, and GH doctors were all present.

The Governor mentioned the club activities and gave great input on the possible future projects that can be done to serve the community around us. The Governor’s official visit was concluded after the public meeting.
