The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Karpagam Institute of Technology conducted RIVALS 2023 (4th National level Mini Bike Race event) on Saturday. The Chief Guests were Tharunkumar, Founder and Team Principal, CRA Motorsports (OPC) Pvt., Ltd., Coimbatore and Krishna Kumar, Technical Inspector, ISNEE Motorsport. Principal Manimaran, Vice Principal Bhanu, Dean Academics, Arul Karthick, and Public Relations Officer Athi Pandiyan were also present.
In this RIVALS – 2023 contest, the students were encouraged to exhibit their technical, intellectual and multitasking skills. It provides a platform for budding engineers to convert their design into a product as Minibike and finally test their vehicle’s endurance level on the race track.
RIVALS 2023, commenced with a rally followed by the endurance test of their remodelled vehicle. More than 35 teams participated from various colleges. The prizes were distributed based on the Design, Evaluation, Innovation and Presentation. Prize winners have been awarded cash prizes and certificates were distributed to the participants. Saiyathibrahim, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering delivered the vote of thanks.
