The 4th Edition of the Coimbatore Vizha Marathon was held on (Sunday) as a part of the 15th edition of Coimbatore Vizha.
The marathon saw 5000+ participants celebrating the Spirit of Covai in an energetic way from as early as 6 a.m.
The Marathon was split into 3 categories based on the distance – 10 Kms. beginning at 6 a.m., 5 Kms. starting at 6.30 a.m., and 2.5 Kms at 7 a.m. All the runs started and ended at Nehru Stadium.
Dr.Mayur Sundararajan, Business Head, Superfan flagged off the 10 Kms. event and this segment had the participation of District Collector Dr.G.S.Sameeran I.A.S., City Police Commissioner V.Balakrishnan I.P.S, Coimbatore City Municipality Corporation Commissioner M.Prathap I.A.S and a few officials as runners.
The participants were provided T-shirts, Medals, Breakfast and an E-Certificate of Participation.
