KMCH College of Nursing conducts 30th Lamp lighting ceremony

The lamp lighting ceremony is an auspicious occasion in every nurse’s life, held in reverence to Florence Nightingale, the lady with the lamp. The 30th Lamp lighting ceremony of KMCH College of Nursing for 100 B.sc Nursing Students, was held recently.

On this occasion, fresh batch B.sc Nursing Students receive the lamp which signifies the knowledge and nursing skills of the senior nurses from KMCH hospital and the professors of KMCH nursing college.

Dr. Thavamani D. Palanisami, Managing trustee, Kovai Medical Research and Educational Trust presided over the function. Presenting the presidential address she insisted on the importance of the nursing profession, professional dignity and nursing demand all over the world.

Chief guest Dr.S.Prabhavathi, Principal, Revathi College of Nursing, Tirupur, addressed on the scope of nursing and illustrated the nursing values from the life of Florence Nightingale.

Dr.S.Madhavi, Principal, KMCH College of Nursing, Dr.N.Seetha Raman, Head- Department of community medicine, KMCHIHSR, Dr.B.S.Suganya Priyadharshini, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry and S. Renuka, HOD of OBG Nursing were part of the lighting ceremony.
