Grand finale of the ‘PITCH’ @PSG IM

As part of the Coimbatore Vizha, the grand finale of the 4th edition of the ‘PITCH’, a startup funding and mentorship event was organized at PSG Institute of Management. It is an opportunity for start-ups from across the city to present their ideas in propelling their business firm to the next level. Swathy Rohit, Founder & CEO, Health Basix, inaugurated the event.

This was followed by a panel discussion on 360 degrees of the startup ecosystem with Vinod Shankar, a venture capitalist from Java Capital, Prabhu Gandhikumar of Tanvi Foods (BSE:TANVI), Vishnu Prasath of SuperclusterPi and Pritesh Asher of Juicy Chemistry. The panel discussion was moderated by Arjun Prakash of Effica Automation.

Over 200 Startups from all over the country had registered for the event. After multiple rounds of selection, The top 10 startups pitched in front of investors, incubation heads, industrialists and leading businessmen of the region.

Three upcoming startups – E Sandhai, IMHOTEF Pharmaceuticals and Green Store were awarded funding of ₹1.2 Crores, ₹70 Lakhs and ₹25 Lakhs respectively by Nativelead Angel Network on The Pitch platform.

The first prize was bagged by Pradco, the second prize was won by Alforna Coconut Chips and Doyo won the third prize. Apart from the top 3, prizes were handed out to the best social impact startup – Bridge Healthcare, the best sustainability startup – Money Bin and the best woman entrepreneur – Harini Kandasamy of ScavengeX.

The 10 finalists were offered a fellowship program which will be facilitated by the 15 ecosystem partners.
