Puneet Sagar Abhiyan is a nationwide initiative by Director General NCC which was started in Dec 2021. 5 Tamil Nadu Girls Battalion NCC as a part of the Coimbatore NCC group organised a Puneet Sagar Abhiyan activity at Valankulam Lake Area, Coimbatore, on Wednesday.
Lt Col JM Joshi, Commanding Officer, 5 Tamil Nadu Girls Battalion NCC along with Subedar Major Sarabjit Singh including other Battalion Staff, Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) and about 200 NCC Girls Cadets of nine colleges & Schools gathered at Valankulam Lake Area to clean the water body. The activity intended to create awareness among the local public to keep the water bodies clean of plastic and other waste material and proper waste management.
