The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of KMCH College of Nursing organized a 3-day workshop on training Nurses on HIV/AIDS and ART. Dr.S. Madhavi, Principal, inaugurated the workshop. Dr. B.Sundaresan, Senior Medical Officer, ART centre, CMC, Coimbatore presented on NACP guidelines on ART.
Vijayamthi, ICTC Counselor, CMC, Coimbatore enriched the students about the role of Peer education in counselling and treatment of HIV-positive patients. Maheswari (PLHIV) shared her Experience with the students about her life transformation with ART.
Gopalakrishnan, District Programme Officer, (HIV/AIDS) discussed Celebrating Life Skills and 125 student nurses participated in the workshop and field visit to ART Center, CMC, Coimbatore.
Abiya Shaji, winner of the District level Quiz competition ‘TANSAC’ was awarded a cash prize and certificate.
