B Sriramulu, President, The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Coimbatore, has urged the Secretary, Union Ministry of Civil Aviation to expedite the privatization of Coimbatore International Airport.
President B Sriramulu met Rajiv Bansal, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, at his Office in New Delhi on 30th December 2022 and submitted a memorandum for the establishment of an Exclusive International Departure Lounge, strengthening the Cargo terminal, speedy completion of the Land Acquisition process and runaway expansion which are overdue, and also requested to improve overall infrastructure at Coimbatore International Airport to accommodate more International Flights and wide-bodied Aircraft.
For the same, Rajiv Bansal, Secretary, Union Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, readily agreed to arrange a special meeting on Tuesday, 6th December 2022 to improve the Infrastructure facility at the Coimbatore International Airport.
